Owned and operated by amazon.com, Alexa has their own ranking
system for every page on the internet. Some pages don’t make it
into their ranking system for one reason or another, however if
your website is generating lots of traffic your site should be
listed in it in no time. Contrary to Google’s PR, Alexa’s
Ranking system says lower is better. If your website has an
Alexa ranking of 50,000 - you’re getting more traffic than
someone who has a ranking of 75,000. Some major search engines
factor in your website’s Alexa Ranking… there is some
speculation that Google does.
