What Hands Your Opponents like
After you’ve gained some experience in poker, every good player will notice that a pre-flop raise will reveal how confident your opponents are in their hands. A well-timed pre-flop raise from a player who opponents respect is like a truth serum-if your opponents think that you have a good hand, then all of their bluffing attempts will go out the window. In the face of a player who has (what they believe is) a winning hand, players with hands that they don’t like will fold, and you’ll know that your remaining opponents are holding hands that they believe in.
The next step is knowing what hands your poker onlineopponents believe in. The player to your left might be willing to go all-in with Ace rags, while the opponent to your right will only call a raise with pocket Queens or higher. A flop of 5-2-9 will look very different to you depending on which opponent it is that you’re playing against, because that loose player with A-5 might have you’re A-K beat at showdown.
Pay attention to your opponents for and get to know them as well as you can before you start making moves, because knowing what they like will go a long way towards raking in their chips. Remember this when you’re at the casino online.
